Jamie P. Webb is a mission-driven professional with a diverse background in biology, international business, and public health. She began her career as an Army medic stationed in South Korea before earning a Bachelor of Science in Biology, where she focused her research on the genetic characterization of invasive ascidian species and the use of urban agriculture throughout Cuba. Jamie later earned a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in international business from the University of North Carolina Wilmington.

 

Before joining the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in 2021, Jamie worked in the private healthcare industry. She currently serves as a Consumer Safety Officer at the FDA, specializing in the regulation of medical devices. Her work has included conducting more than 50 domestic and international inspections to assess industry compliance with critical public health standards.

 

In addition to her regulatory responsibilities, Jamie plays a key role in training and mentoring new FDA investigators. She serves as an instructor for the FDA’s Evidence Development course, where she teaches foundational principles of evidence collection and regulatory enforcement.
