Ralf, a Medical Device Engineer with a bachelor’s and master’s in medical engineering, entered the medical industry over a decade ago and spent his first five years gaining hands-on experience in the health sector before joining TÜV SÜD. Equipped with a subtly dry sense of humor, he is committed to bringing transformative medical technologies to EU and global markets by leveraging deep expertise in regulatory frameworks and market dynamics.
At TÜV SÜD’s Medical & Health Services Business Unit, he now heads the Special Operations & Support department, specializing in active and non-active devices, implantables, and IVDs. Over nearly eight years, Ralf has navigated the world of high-risk medical devices, audits, and certifications—progressing from product assessments to leading a global team.
